This is Grandmother Jonette Crowley coming to you from Denver with our ‘August Consciousness Update.’
August is a BIG month. There are three celestial events: so much energy around rebirth. The tagline for August is The Courage to Become New.
I'm seeing rebirth on many levels; people moving out of their chrysalis into something new, that they hadn't imagined before.
Let's just start with the three major dates. But keep in mind, all of August is about becoming new. It's about emerging. It's about the power of your greater Self, that you may have only glimpsed before. But now you're asked to become it.
8/8 Lion's Gate
The first big date in August is the 8/8 Lion's Gate. It's traditionally seen as a portal of new potential. It started in Egypt. It's also observed in Peru, with the rising of Sirius in the morning sky.
When Sirius was visible, it meant the Nile would flood in Egypt and so begin a new cycle of planting. It was also very important for the Inca people.
The 8/8 Lion's Gate—using the magical numerology of the double infinity symbols, goes so much deeper than a fresh start with new potential.
This Lion's Gate is calling for us to become very heart-centered. The power of the lion and the energy of Leo is in an awakening heart. You're asked to being authentic. Return to who you really are, rather than who you need to be to please everyone else.
What's fundamental in all the openings for August are the questions: Who are you really? Can you give yourself permission to be that?
Although I'm calling this The Courage to Become New, we're starting with the courage to be YOU. Then notice where the "you" morphs and transforms into a NEW YOU.
Leo is about courage and strength. What it's not about is certainty. That will be a theme for all of August.
We've been holding on to certainty, yet we find that it's a very uncertain world. It feels like the sands are shifting beneath our feet—and they are.
But August is inviting you not to try even harder to become more certain… to read more, to listen to more podcasts. It's not about gathering facts and information to become certain. It's about letting go of the need to be certain.
That's where the lion comes in. The lion is about courage when things are not nailed down, when they're not certain.
There is a lot of opportunity now to open beyond fear, beyond certainty, and beyond trying to get all your ducks in a row… before you act.
August is about taking action—pure, authentic action from your heart.
Stay open to the questions rather than feeling safe by getting answers right away.
The Lion's Gate is an immense opening to whoever you are meant to be, whoever we as a collective are meant to be.
We start with a gate—an invitation to open with courage and with heart.
Total Solar Eclipse: August 12
The next BIG heavenly day in August is a total solar eclipse. Totality can be seen from parts of northern Europe.
Total solar eclipses are initiations. They're about initiating your new, authentic self.
The moon moves over the sun. All that isn't authentic gets blocked away. You get to question who you've been and invite who you are becoming.
Solar eclipses—especially total solar eclipses—are times of accelerating change and surprises. We've certainly been surprised a lot.
This eclipse is inviting a new expression of who you are, one that's more authentic and less pre-programmed by your past or by what people expect.
It's very much about acting from authenticity and courage; rather than trying, holding on, pushing, pulling, and controlling.
The lion in this solar eclipse invites you to see who you really are, to slow down for a few moments and ask:
"Who am I?"
"What have I been illuminating?"
"Have I been illuminating my fears and the collective fears? Or am I standing in the illumination of my authentic soul, and a spiritually, connected collective?"
Those are the questions that are going to be front and center as August 12 brings us the total solar eclipse.
The Harmonic Field
What I see now presenting itself is what I call a new ‘harmonic field.’
For the next year and a half, we'll be working with my guide ‘MARK’ to anchor the new harmonics that are emerging now. Its tone is already being felt by us, not through our heads, but through our hearts.
You're probably finding yourself confused because you used to direct your life through your thinking. But now this new tone is awakening your hearts, your authentic Self.
Your authentic self emerges with some confusion, because s/he doesn't have the same needs as the old self, which needed safety, control, boundaries, and certainty.
I invite you, especially around the solar eclipse, to ask yourself:
"What wants to begin?"
"What wants to be initiated for by me in this solar eclipse?"
I'm seeing huge breakthroughs in my one-on-one work with people. I channeled to one woman, this advice:
"You are moving from trying to resolve everything—get it all straight and understand what to do with your life— to allowing it to dissolve."
We're facing the dissolving of our ego control systems that have kept us safe. We are asked to trust that the spiritual knowing that is emerging—and is strong—can guide us.
Partial Lunar Eclipse: Enlightenment Emerging
With that in mind, we move to the next major event: August 28th, the partial lunar eclipse.
Lunar eclipses are about completion and release—releasing old identities that don't serve you, which is what I've been talking about. They're about allowing old structures to dissolve.
Again, what I'm seeing in my one-on-one work is people going through actual electromagnetic changes, that look pretty intense when we witness them. I'm seeing a purging of the need to be accepted, the need to be right.
It's a deep de-identification with the old self and the old protection mechanisms, and an emergence of a new enlightened self that is electrically constructed in a very different way.
This new enlightened self is about love and expression, no longer about control, no longer about planning everything in order to stay safe.
I'm seeing these changes in people. When I watch it, I say to myself: This is enlightenment.
We have had an old false belief about enlightenment—that it means you know everything. What I'm seeing as I help usher people through this threshold, is that it's not knowing everything and being open. It's being open to all-knowing, but the all-knowing doesn't have any facts. It's a space of openness.
Honestly, I'm watching everyday people emerge into this state of higher consciousness, a higher way of being.
Our default mechanism is to try to control, to become more mental to feel safe. The warning is to notice when that's not working.
Please, this month, with the 8/8 Lion's Gate, with the total solar eclipse, and with the partial lunar eclipse, allow yourself to be who is emerging rather than the one who has to keep everything safe.
The Beginning of an Upswing
If you follow astrology, you probably heard about ‘Barbault's Basket,’ which was formed at the end of July when planets wove together in a way that, to the astrologer Barbault, was VERY significant. He and many other teachers believe that we're in the beginning of an upswing in human consciousness, in human civilization.
That's what we've all been working for externally, and especially internally as we develop our own higher consciousness.
We're all working to develop a foundational way of being that can support what we came here to birth.
When I work with people and watch them go through amazing transformations, I can also ‘see’ is all their relatives—twenty or thirty generations back, watching us do what they couldn't do before. We are also transforming our collective pasts.
We are on the apex of a very big pyramid of people who are counting on us to leap to the next level of consciousness. And we ARE doing it.
I'm watching people move to higher levels of enlightenment. You don't need to know everything. You don't need to know anything. Just invite yourself not to need to know anything.
Knowing isn’t full of information. Knowing is a space. If you've been there even for a second, you realize it's an empty space. It's a space of being.
We are being supported in activating this state of being, and we are becoming it. We are doing it!

This is a big year. It asks you to have the courage to become new.
Thank you for being on your spiritual path. Each of you adds so much to your families, but also to this collective consciousness that we're building.
When we read the news, it doesn't seem that we're doing a very good job. But everything we're doing is right on track. What we see that isn’t working is simply the dissolving of the old.
