A Threshold Month of Deep Collective Clearing and Spiritual Transformation
May: A Threshold Month
This is Grandmother Jonette Crowley with our May consciousness update. The topic for May is Deep Karmic Purging. May Day started with a full moon, where you have the light of the full moon illuminating the darkness. You have ancient celebrations of Beltane, of bonfires for purging, for clearing, for throwing in and burning up the old — but also a time of celebration.
May is a very deep, intense, dynamic month. It's a time of deep clearing and deep cleansing, for going inside and looking at traumas, triggers, anything that you haven't been able to look at before. Finally, there's enough personal and collective strength that things you couldn't bear to look at before can clear up. You're making space for that clearing.
May is really a threshold month, and the threshold we're crossing is immense in terms of the collective, of the karma and darkness and shadows that have been stuck in the collective. We've all been doing our personal work. We've all been opening our consciousness, opening our hearts, and it's paying off. What I've seen as I've look at the collective, is that the work we've done — all of us, on ourselves, on our hearts, on our past lives, on our traumas — is enabling Mother Earth to finally release these traumas and shadows and darkness that she's been holding for us, so it wouldn’t be overwhelming.
A Vision on the Water
I’d like to share an experience I had last week that showed me the breadth of this transformation we're in. I was sailing with some girlfriends in the Caribbean. One of the women, I'll call her ‘Kathy,’ told me that her heart was really hurting. I put my hand on her heart and asked: “Is it your pain?” “No, it isn't.” she replied.
So we went up the top deck of the boat to do some deep healing of the collective. I saw — and we both felt deep, deep sorrow. Buried angst and grief was finally showing itself in the collective because of the light work and consciousness work we've ALL done. Finally, human consciousness is high enough for us to clear this old, accumulated pain. I watched as this deep sorrow and grief was being lifted out of Mother Earth, out of the karmic well that's been holding it, until humanity was light enough to begin to transform it.
Piercing the Collective Pain Body
This month, especially, there is so much karmic clearing happening. It's as if we are piercing the collective pain body. When we pierce it, the pain is palpable, but it's not ours. We don't have to identify with it. We can see it, welcome it as it lifts to the light. I'm asking for you to step up and do this work of karmic cleansing, because it is time — not to take it on as your own, but to allow Mother Earth to heal through your consciousness, through the high work that we've all done to make this possible.
As I worked with Kathy, I felt huge waves of grief and sadness clearing from Mother Earth. And then we saw a white dragon come from the center of the Earth, spiraling upward through us. It is such a symbol of power, of opening, of peace, of purity, coming from Mother Earth. Above the white dragon, I saw a white dove, which is, of course, the symbol of peace.
But we weren't done yet. There was one last thing to heal and remove from our karmic lineage: to release all those who have refused healing because they felt that their transgressions were too big to be forgiven. Now there was another big wave of darkness clearing from the Earth, clearing from the collective consciousness, as those who wouldn't accept healing before— because they felt so damned — were finally released.
Waves of Darkness Are Not a Sign of Failure
You may feel these waves of darkness and sorrow. It doesn't mean you're failing, or that we're failing as a collective. It means we are enabling the clearing that must happen from the collective and from our dear Mother Earth. So be cognizant of this, especially this first half of May.
In the second half of the month, you'll feel more support. There are the energies of support, of anchoring these new energies, of taking root in these new energies. But all of this, even though it's intense and it's hard, is really a sign of how much we all are growing, how much we're growing in the collective! Our spirituality is healing things that have been suppressed forever, and it's especially strong in May.
Astrological Energies of Transformation
May 1 started with the Full Moon in Scorpio. Scorpio means really deep transformation. In the middle of the month, Pluto goes retrograde, and Pluto is again, deep transformation, deep reconstruction. Breathe deep. Go out and enjoy the springtime. Know that the spiritual work you are doing is so much bigger than you!
I remind you, when all this happens, don't let yourself fall into your old triggers of: “I can't do this. I'm not good enough. I don't understand this.” Please be conscious of your old patterns and where you've hidden your weaknesses and your fears. It's time to open those drawers, peel those layers, and say: “I am enough. I am strong. I am doing what I came here to do!” Change your patterns, be more conscious of your choices, YOUR power over your thoughts, your attitudes, your abilities, and how that is coalescing for all of us.
Celebration and Clearing
May is an extraordinarily strong month. Much is clearing. There is much support. Imagine the bonfires of May Day, where you throw everything in — it's cleansing, it's burning. May Day, how we started this month, is also about celebration. Yes, there's an intense clearing period, but we're in the midst of spring, so take time to celebrate! Make quiet time to honor your spirituality. Congratulate yourself on the growth you've accepted, the light you're holding for others, and for the great, immense work we are doing for Mother Earth!!
The White Phoenix Rises
I talked about the white dragon coming up in our vision on the boat. I talked about seeing the white dove above it. But as we were doing that clearing of collective karma, Kathy saw something I've never seen before in the White Medicine Wheel that I work in, she saw a white phoenix in the center, above everything! So above the dove of peace in our vision now is the white phoenix of transformation, the Phoenix that arises from the ashes! And yes, these days it feels like there's a lot of fire and there's a lot of ash, but that is what gives rise to the Phoenix!
So keep on your path. Keep up with your beautiful light. Don't take anything too seriously, too heavy, because everything that we're shown in the world is because now we CAN see it, bless it, and move through it!
