One way is to set up a virtual list for healing prayers. I’ve done this for months with some amazing results. I have a pretty piece of paper on my altar, with 2 of my favorite crystals on top of the paper. (Of course pretty paper and crystals or even an altar aren’t important. What is important is the loving intention for continuous healing.)
Every time I learn of someone who needs healing I write their name on my list, with the intention that whenever I am in a high meditation, healing space, or doing Soul Body Fusion® they will receive it too.
In addition, I imagine that my healing list is connected to every healing/prayer list in the world, so that the names on my list also receive healing virtually from those who are praying for others. Conversely, when I pray for the people on my list, I intend for my prayers to go to everyone on every such list in the world. This works much like shared computing, where huge calculations are done on hundreds of thousands of distributed PC’s, tapping into unused computing capacity.
So why not start today? Get out a piece of paper, write your name on the top…(oops, I forgot to have my name on my list… just added it. ;-)), and write down the names of everyone you know who could use some extra love, healing and prayers. We will all connect to everyone else’s list and let’s see what miracles our Virtual Healing Lists can do!!
Below is a lighthearted excerpt from my book: Soul Body Fusion: The Missing Piece for Healing and Beyond. It tells how I realized the importance of intention in healing, and how just having the lists begins to allow everyone to help each other!
In another humorous incident about a decade later, I was reminded again that it’s not about me. At the time my healing abilities were growing significantly as my spiritual work accelerated, so I thought it would be nice to offer free remote healing for the month of May. I assumed that it would stretch and sharpen my skills and hopefully help people I wouldn’t otherwise reach. I asked my office assistant Dave to send an email out only to our inner group of one hundred or so students, offering free healing for a month. They were to email me their name, age, physical location, and illness or problem.
My plan was to write down all their details and work on each person individually every morning and night. The emailed requests for help came in. Then they poured in. From all over the world hundreds and hundreds of detailed requests flooded my electronic in-basket! I didn’t know these people! Many were from countries I had never visited. What happened here? Dave sheepishly admitted that he had misunderstood my request to offer free healing to a small segment of my students. Instead he sent the offer to our entire database, and many sent it to their databases as well!
With so many heartfelt requests for healing I couldn’t do them one at a time as I had planned. I printed out pages and pages of names and illnesses. My intention was to meditate and to visualize gathering them together into an ethereal healing temple in order to work on them en masse.
Once I got myself into a high and settled space, I planned to read the lists to begin the healing. But an amazing vision appeared in my mind’s eye. The hundreds of people weren’t waiting for me to do healing on them! They were milling about, connecting, touching, talking, and healing each other! A person with good legs and a bad liver was being healed by a person with bad legs and a good liver. My jaw dropped. I wasn’t needed!
Perhaps my role was to invite them, through my intention, to a high vibrational space where healing naturally happens. I laughed a long time and have never taken my healing powers seriously again. It isn’t about me and it isn’t about you. Isn’t that a huge relief?
