Cappadocia photos 4Since I've been to over 70 countries, people always ask me what is my favorite place. My answer: New Zealand for its amazing beauty and Turkey for its culture, history, food, people and climate. Prior to this trip I had only experienced Turkey's coastal areas. Now that I've seen much more my answer is even more emphatic: Turkey is a place not to be missed.

dervishes2This time our group toured the magic of Cappadocia and the ancient underground cities. We dined in a cave restaurant dug deep into the soft rock. A highlight was a sunrise balloon ride over Cappadocia's exotic geological formations. We were transfixed by the mystical dance of the Sufi whirling dervishes.

Urfa wishing tree 2In the southeastern part of the country, not too far from Syria, we saw Gobekli Tepe a 12,000-year-old archaeological site. The remarkable find shows the depth of art and skill of our neolithic ancestors. It turns accepted history on its head. How could "caveman" create such temples? For many of us, one of the most moving parts of the trip was when we did a Heart Activation at the sacred Wishing Tree at the top of the Gobekli Tepe archaeological site. A group of Turkish tourists spontaneously began to join in silently doing the Heart Activation with us! No words were needed as we joined hearts and love with our Turkish brothers and sisters. (We did an energy transmission from this sacred place on video for all of you. Please click here for the link. Feel free to share it with your friends.)

Turkey people1In Konya, the home of Rumi, and Urfa, the birthplace of  Abraham, the young people wanted to have their pictures taken with us, or practice their English, or join us in our healing circles.

MtNimrutPicIn Sanliurfa in southeastern Turkey - known as the City of Prophets - I channeled a solar energy field so powerful that many people had initiations and one woman said "I am now a master." For me it was one of the most intense channeled initiations I have ever experienced. Literally I could hardly walk afterwards because I was in such a high and beautiful state!  Click here to read the words from this initiation.

Mt Nemrut 3We climbed the mysterious peak of Mount Nemrut - an artificially made tumulus with huge statues and very unusual energies. For instance one man's cell phone kept turning itself off while he was on the mountain. Each time he turned it back on it had more charge. The energy field of the mountain was actually charging his cell phone!

Driving through the gorgeous mountain regions or the fertile valleys of the Euphrates River where the agrarian cultures of Mesopotamia started, you feel deeply peaceful, in awe of the earth's great abundance.

Last summer I channeled Mark who warned that this would be a difficult trip but the personal and collective rewards would be great. The group had more than its share of illness, including three trips to the hospital. But the group, all seasoned travelers, took itinerary changes in stride, always pulling together to help each other out.

Oracle at Didyma 2Mark's channeling just prior to the trip reminded us to stay focused and not let chaos override our harmony or interfere with our mission. Our work was to connect the inner earth world with humanity and then with the stars. Specifically 'Mark' channeled that we should watch for a place where 27 steps descended, as it would be important. (Note: It makes me nervous to channel a message with such specificity. I mean really? 27 steps descending?) At the Temple of Didyma near Ephesus, the second most important Oracle site in the ancient world after Delphi, the inner sanctum of the Oracle was entered by walking down 27 steps! Here we did a beautiful meditation. The place became filled with tall light beings that I later realized are us! We recorded a short video blessing from this Oracle temple to help you focus on honor, clarity and joy. (Click here for the video link.)

JC at EphesusAt Ephesus my inner voice said "this is the place" at the ruins of a temple of Isis that most tourists pass by.  Again important work was done spontaneously.

The deep commitment to love that the group held touched many lives. Even one of our tour guides, who was rather difficult on the first day, sent us a letter "to my new friends" talking about the "poetry of love" that he experienced around us. He had never felt so calm, nor slept so well :-).

It is a profound honor to lead such a group of light carriers, each a master in their own way, through such a rich experience as this journey to Turkey offered us. I look forward to part 3 of our journeys of peace -- Israel in May 2015.

I invite any of you who feel so called to join us next May in Israel 🙂
