As a young girl I was afraid of everything—especially at night. Planes going overhead sounded like bombs. You might ask how a young Colorado girl even knew what a bomb sounded like. Probably past-life memories— unexplainable  traumas that we all carry.) I was afraid of burglars, window-peekers, fires, and especially of witches. 

A playmate told me that “The Strawberry Witch” lived in a special strawberry in her refrigerator. At night the strawberry turned into a full-sized red witch! I was terrified for many of my childhood years. Even though I had my own bedroom— a luxury in a family of eight, I would choose to sleep with my little sisters so I would feel safe.

It changed one night when I was 12 years old. I had a near death experience (NDE). Not the normal kind— as I didn’t physically die. It happened in a very real dream, that I can still vividly recall. In the dream I was dying—the cause of death was unimportant and I don’t even remember it. I struggled hard not to die, feeling immense fear.  Suddenly, I could no longer fight it and I surrendered to death. That moved me into a place of indescribable peace. It was all OK, more than OK… It was heavenly bliss.

Then BAM! I was snatched out of this post-death Nirvana. I heard—again, this is all a ‘dream’—two doctors saying: “Good. I I think she’s coming back.” I remember feeling angry that I couldn’t stay in that state of peace.

It was only a dream, but it was a very real experience for me. From that moment on I was not afraid to die, and that helped me to not be afraid to live. In a moment everything changed. The Universe gave a scared young girl a gift— a multi-dimensional experience, a spontaneous healing. As the veils thin such gifts—however they appear— will be more commonplace for all of us. The Universe  has our back, more than we can begin to imagine.

I hadn’t thought of this personal turning point from fear to peace in a long time. Last month I attended a Near Death Experience symposium with Dr. Raymond Moody, the godfather of NDE’s. His books have helped millions of people understand life after life. It was an honor to spend time with him. He is interested in all spiritual awakenings, including those that don’t involve dying first. We had an opportunity to video a lengthy conversation in which Dr. Moody interviewed me about my inter-dimensional experiences with ‘MARK’.  (I will let you know when the video will be edited and available.)
